LockLapse

Support

LockLapse records a work or study session as a timelapse and closes it on a card with your hours, streak and subject.

The session paused on its own

Pauses are the app's doing, and each one names its cause on screen. A phone call, leaving the app, or the phone getting hot will pause a session, and every frame recorded up to that point is kept. Recording resumes by itself once the cause ends, when you come back to the app or the phone cools down.

The phone gets warm during long sessions

The camera runs at a low frame rate and the screen dims to near black after twenty seconds untouched, which keeps a long session cool. If the phone still heats up, LockLapse spaces the frames further apart, and pauses the session if it gets too hot rather than losing what you have recorded.

Finding a finished timelapse

Finished sessions are listed on the start screen. Tap one to play it back, then use Save to write it to your photo library or Share to send it somewhere. Press and hold a session to delete it, which deletes its video too.

Restoring a purchase

Open the card settings from the icon on the start screen and use Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account the purchase was made with.

Managing the subscription

A yearly subscription is managed through Apple, under Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. The lifetime purchase is a one-off and has nothing to cancel.

The camera prompt was declined

LockLapse needs the camera to record anything. Turn it back on under Settings, then LockLapse, then Camera.
